Southport’s Christmas market is at Southport Market on King Street over three long weekends in December 2026: 4 to 6, 10 to 13 and 17 to 20 December, with Christmas cabins added to the market hall. Southport Market Hall: dates and opening times
The organiser lists the dates as three “extended weekends”. The first is a Friday to Sunday, the next two run Thursday to Sunday.

Independent Street says there will be Christmas choirs, walk-around characters, singers and a Santa’s grotto, “and potentially a reindeer or 2 as well”. It also warns that the market hall is “incredibly busy at that time of year” and already booked with party nights, children’s events and staff parties, so the food hall will be full on the Friday and Saturday evenings.
The listing is aimed at traders booking a cabin for individual days, so which stalls are coming has not been published. No entry charge is mentioned.
The Saturday before: artisan market on 5 December
Independent Street’s monthly Southport Artisan Market takes over the market hall and Market Street on the first Saturday of each month from 10am to 4pm, with close to 70 small independent traders. Its 5 December date is billed as the Christmas edition, and it lands on the first Christmas market weekend. The two before it are 3 October and 7 November. (Independent Street)
Formby Hall: Sunday 29 November
Formby Hall Golf Resort and Spa, on Southport Old Road, holds a one-day Christmas Market on Sunday 29 November, entry free, with artisan gifts and food, and it promises “a very special visitor and his elf”. Times are not on the listing. (Formby Hall, What’s On Christmas 2026)
